What is the Leavitt Center?
The Leavitt Center is Pocatello's Premiere center for the arts. We offer a wide variety of performing and fine arts classes. Our mission is to bring the arts to the community and empower children, teens, and adults to find their voice in their art and better improve their quality of life and those around them.
What is our billing policy?
The Leavitt Center does not offer month-to-month classes, but all students will need to pay for the entire season in which they are enrolled. Classes require signing up for auto-pay with a card or ACH information in order to enroll. Your class fees are due at enrollment and are made available to the teacher for any class supplies needed to create a successful class. Monthly tuition will be deducted on the first of every month in the season.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO PAY IN FULL, you will still need to enroll in autopay in order to be added to the class, then contact the office and you will be able to pay in full with cash, check or card. No monthly autopay will be charged as there will be no balance on your account. Any payments made with ACH or card will include a minimal service fee.

What are the supply fees?
The supply fee is to provide funds for materials, supplies, costumes, props, etc. for each instructor to provide successful classes. Supply fees are due at enrollment and are given to the teachers to directly benefit the students and their class experience.
Is there a discount for multiple classes or for multiple students within a family?
Programs and classes are set up to automatically include discounts for classes that are longer than 1 hour. Watch our website and social media pages for promos for multiple class and/or student discounts.
Do you accept the Empowering Parents Grant?
Do you have scholarships available?
YES! We do accept the Empowering Parents grant. This is a 3rd party funding option for income qualified families that is provided by Idaho's State Board of Education. To apply or see if you qualify visit: https://withodyssey.com/empoweringparents.html These funds can be used for both tuition and supply fees. Often the application and funding process through Empowering Parents can take several months, if you are desirous to use these funds please start this process ASAP to make sure you have funding available for upcoming classes that you would like to participate in.
We also often have scholarship funds available that are provided by private donors throughout our community. These funds can be used to help students with partial tuition costs; supply fees and any other applicable fees CANNOT be covered by scholarship. Available funds vary and are on a first come first serve basis. Students interested in a scholarship will need to fill out the scholarship form, write a short essay and provide a headshot. Please contact the office through email or phone to receive the link for the scholarship form.
Any students/families that qualify for the Empowering Parents Grant will not be considered for a scholarship without further board review.

What is our enrollment policy?
At the time of enrollment the student will be enrolled for the entire duration of each class season or year (whichever applies) and agrees to pay all tuition and fees associated with the class. Student also agree to attend all scheduled practices, rehearsals, stage days, performances and any extra practices that are assigned by the instructor. In addition you are responsible for all payments associated with the class even if the student drops out. You can try the class one time before enrolling at no cost to make sure you are comfortable with the teacher and curriculum. All special circumstances require review from the board of directors.
Is your building available for event/venue rentals?

How can I become an instructor?
We are always looking for bright minds to teach. Please stop by and leave a resume at our location at 1030 E Sublette St. Pocatello, ID 83201 or email a resume to office@leavittcenter.com. You can call or text 208-417-8724 to arrange a time to meet or leave it in our drop box located at our 10th St. entrance.
What is your business's drug policy?
We have a drug free policy. No smoking, vaping, e-cigarette, or illegal drugs are allowed or to be used on our premises. Instructors are not allowed to be under the influence of any illegal drugs. Instructors are also not allowed to be under the influence of alcohol within 12 hours before they teach.
Private events may choose to have alcohol at their events with associated rules and fees explained in their rental agreement.
